The East Midlands Regional Committee would like to invite you and members of your organisation to our AGM. We really hope that you are able to join us and please extend the invite to anybody who you think would be interested.
Junk Music Workshop & AGM
Saturday 17th May - 10.30 am, Loughborough
Come and join us for this exciting event. Michael Freeman, an experienced composer and performer will be leading us in this one day workshop that looks at making music from our waste and recycled materials. Joined by Afro-Drum Generation who will provide African rhythms on djembe drums the day will include:
- Introductory performances;
- Experimenting with construction and sound;
- Learning rhythm styles and combining with Afro-Cuban rhythms;
- Composition and performance of an original piece of music.
- AGM business will be held mid-morning for Making Music members.
- Free to members / £5 for non-members (includes hearty lunch and refreshments)
