Glebe Singers need you
Glebe Singers, based in Market Deeping near Peterborough, is looking for new members. The choir, which meets on Wednesday evenings, would like to hear from experienced singers, and also from younger singers aged 13-18, to join the choir’s youth section, the Glebelings.
The younger members’ rehearsal starts at 7pm, with the rest of the choir starting at 7.30. Adults rehearse until 9.30, although younger members are able to leave at 9 if they wish. The Glebelings sing a wide range of music, including selections from Les Miserables, and Oliver, jazz, spirituals and special arrangements of Christmas carols.
Glebe Singers, whose repertoire includes a wide range of musical styles, perform three concerts a year in mainly local churches, and also sing at community events such as the community carol service.
